First Watford mate.

Created by Dave 3 years ago

When Zoe and I got together I was living in Stoke Newington, we decided we needed a house and chose North Watford. We both worked in London therefore we didn't mix or make friends locally. Our first daughter Brooke was born and still we really didn't know anyone locally, that continued right up until Brooke went to school, and then Zoe made friends with other mums at the gate, Ben and Brooke were in the same class throughout infant and junior school and as a result Paul and Martine became our friends, Paul and I shared a love of music and sport we laughed together, we drank together, we watched sport together we went to concerts together and he was a really good mate to have when you wanted to vent your splean after a hectic week in the office. Like all good mates, you don't have to live life in each other's pockets, but like good mates he was always there when I needed a chat and I was there to do likewise, so it's  taken me a bit of time to write this as I still hurt from his loss.

If you can read this Paul believe me I will look after Martine, Ben and Betsie, Ben especially knows I'm here for him, your wonderful family are always welcome in our house and you will always be remembered as a good friend and a great listener with a love for the 2nd best team in London (West Ham being the first).

My last real memory of Paul was at the Parkgate school sports day where we both entered the dads egg and spoon race, Paul was slaughtering me as we "sprinted" for the line, all of a sudden my turbo kicked in and I cruised past him to win the race. A wonderful moment by two blokes who were only there to embarrass their children !!. A friend recorded this race and sent it to me, so one day when the time is right I'll share it with Ben.

Always in my heart mate, Rest In Peace. The Law's do and will always miss you Xx
